Self Care Information

NHS 111 Service

NHS Out of Hours Service provides medical care or advice when the surgery is closed. Fully trained advisers will assess your symptoms and direct you to the most appropriate local service. This can include an out-of-hours doctor, walk-in centre, urgent care centre, emergency dentist or late opening chemist. For life threatening emergencies, continue to call 999.

GP Net Earnings

All GP practices are required to declare the mean earnings (e.g.average pay) for GPs working to deliver NHS services to patients at each practice.

It should be noted that the prescribed method for calculating earnings is potentially misleading because it takes no account of how much time doctors spend working in the practice and should not be used for any judgement about GP earnings, nor to make comparisons with other practices.

The average pay for GPs working in Moreton Medical Centre in the last financial year was £52,590 before tax and National Insurance.  This is for 1 full time and 4 part time GPs who worked in the practice for more than 6 months.
