NHS 111 Service

NHS Out of Hours Service provides medical care or advice when the surgery is closed. Fully trained advisers will assess your symptoms and direct you to the most appropriate local service. This can include an out-of-hours doctor, walk-in centre, urgent care centre, emergency dentist or late opening chemist. For life threatening emergencies, continue to call 999.

During your consultation it may be necessary for you to be examined.  If you wish to be accompanied you can either:-

  • Bring a friend or relative
  • Have a member of staff/nurse accompany you.

If you require either of the above please advise your doctor or nurse at the begining of your consultation or a member of the reception team who will be happy to arrange this for you.

You may defer your examination if there are no chaperones available.
